Detailed Project Description:

 

Cleanup, remediation and rehabilitation of site on the Great Northern Highway resulting from an 80,000ltr diesel fuel spill. The works involved the following;
• Complete cleanup of impacted soil from the spill
• Reinstate approximately 700m of highway road shoulder and drains to Main Roads WA specification
• Place soil in bund and extent existing bund as required
• Bioremediate the soil including turning events as required
• Reinstate the excavation areas including culverts with the bioremediated soil
Works were undertaken using the following resources;
• Remediation machinery included; 2 x excavators with bucket attachments, Skid Steer, 1 x Moxy’s, 1 x tipper truck, grader, FEL, compactor and 1 x Water Cart,
